Move-Out Cleaning Checklist for Sharjah Tenants (Printable)

· 4 min read · By the Tip Top team

A clipboard checklist on the windowsill of an empty, freshly cleaned apartment

This move-out cleaning checklist lists everything to clean before you hand back a rented flat or villa in Sharjah, grouped room by room so you can print it and tick items off as you go. It assumes the property is empty, which is the best time to clean. Use it for a DIY clean, or to check a professional clean before the landlord's inspection.

For the bigger picture, including what landlords look for, when to book and how to handle the handover, read our main guide to move-out cleaning in Sharjah.

Before you start

  • Read your tenancy contract for any cleaning requirements.
  • Find your move-in photos or inspection report, if you have one.
  • Make sure all furniture, boxes and rubbish have gone.
  • Check water and electricity are still connected.
  • Gather supplies: microfibre cloths, a mop, a vacuum with a narrow nozzle, a squeegee, a degreaser, a descaler, a pH-neutral cleaner for any marble, gloves and bin bags.

Work top to bottom, room by room. Dust high surfaces first and do floors last, so dirt falls onto areas you haven't cleaned yet. Never mix cleaning products.

Doing it yourself or booking a team

A full move-out clean of an empty two-bedroom flat is a long day's work for one person, and it often lands on the busiest day of a move. If you'd rather hand it over, Tip Top's move-out cleaning is priced like a deep clean: from around AED 199 for a studio, roughly AED 299–599 for a 1–2 bedroom apartment and AED 999+ for villas, confirmed after a quick assessment. Teams work to written room-by-room checklists and the work is inspected before handover.

Not sure whether a professional clean will cover windows, walls or the oven? See what move-out cleaning includes. If the property has just had building work, use our post-construction cleaning checklist instead, as it covers paint, grout and fine dust.
