Sofa Cleaning Prices in Sharjah: Per Seat, Per Set and What Changes the Quote

· 4 min read · By the Tip Top team

A large L-shaped fabric sofa and two armchairs in a bright Sharjah living room

There's no single sofa cleaning price list that fits every home in Sharjah, because the price depends on the sofa in front of the cleaner: how many seats it has, its size and shape, the fabric, how dirty it is and what stains or odours need treating. Most companies price sofa cleaning per seat or per piece, and the fair way to get a number is a quote after a quick assessment.

Per seat, per piece or per set?

Per seat

Pricing per seat is the most common way to quote fabric sofas. A three-seater is counted as three seats, and so on. It's simple, and it scales sensibly with the size of the sofa. Check how the cleaner counts corner seats, chaise ends and recliner sections, as these are sometimes counted as more than one seat.

Per piece

Some items are easier to price individually: armchairs, ottomans, footstools, dining chairs, headboards and loose cushions. A dining set of eight chairs is normally priced per chair, and it matters whether the chairs have a fabric seat only or fabric seats and backs.

Per set

A living room "set", such as a three-seater, a two-seater and an armchair, is sometimes quoted as one figure. That's convenient, but make sure you know what's included, especially loose back cushions, scatter cushions and any footstool.

What changes a sofa cleaning quote

FactorWhy it affects the price
Number of seats or piecesMore surface to clean, more cushions to treat and dry
Size and shapeL-shaped, U-shaped and modular sofas have more fabric and corners than their seat count suggests
FabricDelicate fabrics such as velvet, viscose and some natural fibres need slower, low-moisture methods; leather needs cleaning and conditioning
How soiled it isHeavy build-up on arms, headrests and seats takes extra pre-treatment
StainsThe number, age and type of stains; ink and dye transfer take longer than food or drink
Pet hair and odourHair removal and urine odour treatment add time and products
Removable coversCovers that unzip can be cleaned more thoroughly, but the cushion inserts may need attention too
AccessParking, floor level and whether the sofa can be reached on all sides

Fabric vs leather sofas

Fabric sofas are usually cleaned by extraction or a low-moisture method, depending on the fabric code on the label. Leather is cleaned with a leather-specific product and then conditioned, which helps it cope with the dry, air-conditioned indoor air most UAE homes have for much of the year. The work is different, so the quote is too. If you'd like to understand the labels, our guide to upholstery fabric codes explains W, S, W/S and X.

Questions to ask before you accept a price

  1. How are you counting the seats? Especially for corner and modular sofas.
  2. Are cushions included? Both seat and back cushions, and scatter cushions.
  3. Is stain treatment included? Or charged per stain?
  4. Is odour treatment included if you have pets?
  5. What method will you use and why?
  6. How long will it take to dry?
  7. Is the price fixed once agreed? You should know the full cost before work starts.

Compare like with like. A lower price for a quick surface spray isn't the same job as a proper vacuum, pre-treatment and deep clean. Ask what each quote includes before comparing the totals.

How to get an accurate sofa cleaning quote by photo

For most sofas, good photos are enough for a reliable price. Send:

  • A photo of the whole sofa from the front, showing its shape and number of seats
  • Close-ups of stains, worn areas, arms and headrests
  • A photo of the care label if there is one (often under a seat cushion)
  • A note on pets, children's spills or any urine accidents
  • Your area and building, so access can be planned

What sofa cleaning costs at Tip Top

At Tip Top, sofa cleaning is priced per item. We confirm the price after a free on-site or photo-based assessment, so you get a clear, upfront figure before work starts and no surprises on the day. Pet-odour treatment is also priced per item. If you want to add carpets or rugs, see how sofa and carpet cleaning in one visit works, or add a mattress clean at the same time.

Ways to keep the cost down

  • Clean more regularly. A sofa that's cleaned before it gets heavily soiled is quicker to clean.
  • Treat spills straight away. Blot gently with a clean white cloth and avoid strong home products, which can set stains and make them harder to remove later.
  • Vacuum weekly. Removing sand and dust stops it grinding into the fibres.
  • Use washable throws where pets or children sit most.
  • Book soft furnishings together. One visit for sofas, carpets and mattresses saves you arranging several appointments.
